This is the time of year when we enjoy hearing from friends and relatives. Their cards usually enclose a letter with a summary of their year's activities. Two I received this week were from Vera (Blyth) Lundell and Marion (Wesson) White. Both grew up in the district and attended Forest Bank School. Both are now over 90 yeas of age and are very active. Vera continues to do baking for the organizations she belongs to and does volunteering as well. Marion helps out at the seniors' home, plays cards and goes to lunch and coffee with friends on a regular basis. We wish them, and many others, continued happy times.

I look forward to receiving some items for this news column!
