Ian Thomas has penned hits such as Painted Ladies (1973) for himself and others, is a Juno and SOCAN award winner and sometime comedy partner with his older brother Dave Thomas of SCTV fame. Marc Jordan's songs have been heard on no fewer than 35 million records, including 14 albums of his own, and he has won ASCAP, Juno, SOCAN, jazz and pop awards. Many industry heavyweights including Rod Stewart (Rhythm of My Heart), have recorded his material. Murray McLauchlan's music, including The Farmer Song and Down by the Henry Moore, has become part of the fabric of the Canadian music scene.

The artists were appreciative of manager Moe McGuinty and his staff, thanking in particular the technical staff of John Dyck, Aaron Arcand and Jamie Peever. They also appreciated the home cooked meal prepared for them by Dekker Centre staffer Cindy Pavlich. The Dekker Centre aims to make its performers feel comfortable and welcome. As always, says McGuinty, a big thank you also goes out to the Dekker Centre volunteers.  Church had words of praise for the theatre, and said it had been "wonderful" to deal with McGuinty and his "fabulous" staff.
