Busy rodeo season for Lumgair

Waseca seems to be very quiet these days. The summer activities are completed and I expect many people are enjoying a few days at the lakes. Next week things will change as a new school year begins.

Waseca seems to be very quiet these days. The summer activities are completed and I expect many people are enjoying a few days at the lakes. Next week things will change as a new school year begins. Where has the summer gone?

Arlee Lumgair continued with her busy time attending rodeos where her grandson, Arlan, has been very busy.

Recently she accompanied Arlan and his mother Shawna on a rodeo tour which took them to Virden, Man., Friday, Aug. 15 where Arlan placed first; Saturday the 16th they were at Fort Qu'appelle where Arlan again placed first. On Sunday the 17th Arlan again rode but was "bucked off." They were at Virden, Man., again Sunday evening and Monday, Aug. 18, this time placing second.

Arlan was to be riding in Pierceland Aug. 23 and 24. There are quite a number of rodeos for him before the KCRA finals in Saskatoon. We wish him good luck in this venture.

We wish "Bill", our long-time mailman happiness as he retires from the mail delivery job. He has been a great friend as well as a faithful worker at his job. No doubt he will keep busy as he always seems to have something interesting to do. The last I heard a new mail person has not as yet been appointed by Canada Post.
