Bus drivers busy with their routes

The fall school term is well underway and the school bus drivers are being kept busy. Both Sandra and Ruth Sutherland go different directions from the village.

The fall school term is well underway and the school bus drivers are being kept busy. Both Sandra and Ruth Sutherland go different directions from the village. Sandra has four kindergarten students - Elijah Gray and Mathew Caron from the village and Anastatia Otteson and Tristan Blyth from Forest Bank - riding her bus. A new student on her bus as well is Luke Shueach, who is in Grade 4.

Students from this area are busy with school sports. Volleyball is the main sport at present with a tournament coming up. Lance Weisner is taking part in long distance running and ran last weekend at Unity.

The Sept. 22 market held at the Waseca Community Centre was an interesting event. The village planning consultants attended with their plan for the village on display, resulting in many questions being answered and input from those attending.

Vendors attending were happy with the results of their work. There was lots of discussion around the table where those attending enjoyed beef on a bun provided by the Village of Waseca.

The hall committee is planning for the fall supper that is held the first Sunday of November each year.

Arlee Lumgair returned Sept. 18 from a week spent with her brother and his wife and two of her sisters touring Saskatchewan and North Dakota. They especially enjoyed a concert in Maple Creek that featured cowboy poetry and lots of good music.
