North Battleford Communities in Bloom co-chair Charlotte Hamilton says they're planning to host another boot sale in the fall.

Recently CIB encouraged residents to fill their vehicles' trunks with items they wanted to sell - similar to a garage or yard sale, except done out of a vehicle trunk.

Hamilton says the recent boot sale, held just north of Milbanke Flowers, drew a few sellers and many interested shoppers. Although only a handful of vehicles showed up, many people came by to take a look at what was for sale, giving Hamilton confidence another boot sale could attract more participants.

While hosting the boot sale, CIB members planted plants along the wall of a building in the north end of that parking lot.

Triumph Roofing also provided volunteers with use of a big trailer to haul away weeds picked up in the parking lot. Committee members are grateful for that assistance.
