On SundayFeb. 19, starting around 10 a.m. MST, the bonfire will be lit and hot chocolate, tea and coffee will be on at the fire hall across from the sports grounds.

As well as a fire, Reliance Safety Equipment is coming to refill fire extinguishers and the air packs that the firefighters use. For a fee, they will also refill household extinguishers, or sell new ones.

The fire is in an effort to clean up the remaining debris after the July 18 plow wind last summer. Hot dogs and snacks will be served in Paynton Pioneer Centre. This is an event for Paynton residents, so come out and show your community spirit and support the local organizations.

Thenew Paynton fire truck will be at the sports grounds for everyone to check out, so put on a helmet and some gear, and have your photo taken in the truck.

Paynton artists Ellery Russell and Mariann Taubensee are part ofan art exhibit called "RE" put on by thePermaculture Research Institute of Saskatchewan. The show began Jan. 30 and was to run until Feb. 10, but it is now running until Feb. 16. The reception will be Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. CSTat 906 Dufferin Ave., Saskatoon.
