A birthday party was held on Aug. 21 for Lillian Cornell, who reached the age of 110. Lillian lives in North Battleford and came out to her grandson Cameron Tait's cottage at Metinota where she and her family celebrated, with a birthday cake and flowers. Her daughter, Lou Tait of Meota accompanied her mother. All family members who could attend enjoyed an afternoon of fun and laughter, with lots of pictures taken. We extend our congratulations to such a charming lady and salute her longevity.

From Prince George and from Houston, B.C. visiting their aunts, Linda and Lorna, are Beth and her brother Grant Bell. Their mother was the late Helen (Shepherd) Sullivan of Houston. But like every child that's been here they miss the big slide and wonder if it will be replaced, as we all do.
