A Handi Van bingo was held Jan. 11 with Bonnie Letwinetz acting as caller. This month the winners of the regular bingo games received chickens. Thanks to Dora Greening for donating the prizes for the youngsters who attended. Winning those draws were Ryan Bec and Braxton Letwinetz. Winners of the bingo games were Teta Harty (2), Ron Bec, Shirley Godbout, Dora Greening, Kay Mannix, Brenda Pollard (2), Hugette MacGregor and Annette Blaquiere with Hugette MacGregor winning the blackout game for the grocery hamper. The next bingo will be Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the seniors' centre. This is the sweetheart bingo, so bring your sweetie and try your luck.
The annual Edam Ladies' Bonspiel will take place the weekend of Feb. 8-9. The open bonspiel will take place March 22 -24. I will provide more information as to where entries go and numbers to call.
I have to get the student of the week caught up again, so there are five students that have been honoured since the beginning of January. These students received breakfast as well as other prizes during the week that they were drawn. Congratulations Abbey Harty, Isaiah Morin, Payton Morin, Jessica Bec and Brittany Bec.
