Better turnout for cards

A number of Maidstone Drop In Centre members attended the memorial service for former member Iva Inkster. Iva passed away at the age of 91 and service was held at the Payton gym April 13.

A number of Maidstone Drop In Centre members attended the memorial service for former member Iva Inkster. Iva passed away at the age of 91 and service was held at the Payton gym April 13. Iva attended most of the activities at the centre and really enjoyed the card events.

There was a better turnout for cards on April 15. High score for cribbage went to Bev Stewart and low to Dorothy Kissick. Lunch was provided by Jean Hartman.

Bingo was played April 17 with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Jean Stewart, assisted by Bev Stewart.

Cribbage was played Monday, April 22 with high score going to Denise Newton and low to Dorothy Kissick. Lunch was provided by Dorothy Schwartz, assisted by Bev Stewart.

The March-April potluck birthday luncheon was held April 20 with 20 seniors enjoying a bountiful meal. Following the meal Ken Adie and Bev Stewart amuzed members with a few jokes. Bingo followed with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Lil McMillan. Seated at the birthday table for lunch were Ray and Jean Hartman, Joan and Shannon Smith, Doug and Judith Holmberg and Dorothy Harmel. A number stayed and played bingo.

Games of choice was played April 29 with Cribbage being the choice. High score went to Denise Newton and low to Bev Stewart. Lunch provided by Lil McMillan.
