Winners have been selected in the fourth annual Best of the Battlefords photo contest.
Five winners have been announced in the contest for amateur photographers put on by the City of North Battleford and the Battlefords Tourism and Convention Association. They are as follows:
Best Overall: Territorial Days Fireworks by Anand George. The prize is a $250 gift certificate courtesy of Studio B.
Battlefords Vacation: Vacation at Jackfish by Morley Dickson. He wins a $150 gift certificate courtesy of Viewpoint Photographic Design.
Events: Day Camp at Fort Battleford by David Trimmer/Fort Battleford. He wins a $100 Co-op gift card courtesy of City of North Battleford.
Urban Life: Cooling off in the Backyard by Jan Halushka. Prize is a $100 Walmart gift card courtesy of City of North Battleford
Sports and Recreation: Boy and his Dog on Jackfish Lake by Vicki Smith, who wins $100 Staples gift card courtesy City of North Battleford
In total, 74 amateur photographers entered the contest. Judges considered quality and whether the photos suited the themes they were submitted under.
