Battlefords regional 4-H light horse show

There were 32 competitors from eight different clubs, who came from all over the northwest region to attend the Battlefords regional show June 9. Our judge for the day was Sonja Wilkenson from Vermilion, Alta.

There were 32 competitors from eight different clubs, who came from all over the northwest region to attend the Battlefords regional show June 9.

Our judge for the day was Sonja Wilkenson from Vermilion, Alta. The trail judge was Brian Erickson of Battleford.

Club barn display placings were: first, Eagle Hills Multiple; second, Reigning Riders; third, Round Hill Riders; and fourth, Ride 'em and Slide 'em.

Spirit of 4-H awards are based on who is most sportsmanship-like and shows the 4-H motto throughout the day. These awards went to future leader Cassidy Hodgins, senior Shannice Poitras, intermediate Baylie Yaseniuk, junior Cheyanne Smith and Clover Bud Mackenzie L'Heureux.

Our high point performance winners each received a noseband halter. Winners were future leader Breanna Snyder, senior Brittany Foulston, intermediate Cyane Sperle, junior Caitlyn Ireland and Clover Bud Zadee Chapman.

High point gymkhana winners, each receiving a bridle bag, were future leader Breanna Snyder, senior Brittany Foulston, intermediate Dakota Crowell, junior Rayna Yaseniuk and Clover Bud Taylor L'Heureux.
