The Battleford Housing Authority has named the 2014 Yard Pride Contest winners.
BHA holds annual yard pride contests to celebrate and encourage excellence in yard care, according to Operations Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor.
"So many of our tenants have lovely yards and we like to acknowledge the time and effort they put into caring for their yards," she said.
Monthly winners are selected throughout June, July and August. From those winners, grand prize winners are then selected and share in more than $400 in prizes.
This year's grand prize winners were Angela Landry, Melody Payne, Tracy Antoine and Christopher and Kerri Tipewan. Winners all received Super A gift cards.
"Yard care in Battleford was truly excellent in 2014," said Cook-Taylor. "In fact, it was a real challenge selecting our winners as so many of our tenants really excelled this year," she said
BHA exists to ensure, on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, that adequate, affordable, and well-maintained housing is accessible to all residents of Battleford. BHA manages 103 rental units for families and senior citizens in Battleford.
