The Artist Run Centre gallery in North Battleford features for the months of July and August current works from current members.

Housed in the working studio area are Juanita Aucamp, Kamila Badura, Mary Ann Baxter, Michael Brokop, Sherron Burns, Joseph Campbell, Chris Hodge, Karen Kowalski, Brenda Lamb, Jesse Navarro, Barb O'Neil, Rosemarie Stadnyk and Joanne Rivera-Wing.

Two well-known artists in our community who have exhibited in galleries throughout the province are Chris Hodge and Rosemarie Stadnyk.

Hodge is primarily an abstract artist influenced by the simple yet deep texture of his prairie surroundings.

He says, "I work on sculpture in different mediums, keeping the plain forms of the prairie landscape. Over the last while, I have delved into figure and portrait painting, preserving the abstract nature of my past works.â€

Stadnyk is also influenced by the prairie landscape. Her work brings out her fond childhood memories of blue violets, buttercup meadows, brilliant sunsets, rich golden harvests and white crusts on snow banks. Enjoy her works as you explore the backgrounds of textural elements and added layers of gels and colour that warm the energy of her canvases.

The ARC Creative Studios Gallery is located in North Battleford  at 1102-101 St. and is open for viewing Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.  View the current works from local artist and enjoy exploring the individual artist working spaces.
