A few months ago an article in the Regional Optimist advised the public as to what takes place in our small Resort Village of Aquadeo. At that time, the headline read: "Something is always happening."
Since that time, we have done all of those events. We had our annual "welcome back" supper, June 2 with good food and a live band. We held our 10th annual pancake breakfast and garage sale July 30 and our second craft and bake sale, July 29. Due to the response at our pancake breakfast and garage sale, we had a second one Aug. 4.
We held our third annual fall supper Aug. 25, which was another huge success. We held our annual golf tournament Sept. 8. This tournament is a huge success and entries are filling up for 2013. As well as these annual events, we sold firewood, catered weddings and worked 12 bingos.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our volunteers who work: asking for prizes for our golf tournament; hauling, splitting and delivering wood; donating salads, baking, etc., at our fall supper; working bingos and whatever else we needed help with.
