Access gives $10,000 boost to kids' program

The Access Communications Children's Fund has made a major donation to the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club. According to the press release, the funding will be used towards to provide free evening programming for youth in the community.

The Access Communications Children's Fund has made a major donation to the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club.

According to the press release, the funding will be used towards to provide free evening programming for youth in the community.

"Assisting groups, like the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club, to provide youth with quality and accessible programming is what the Access Communications Children's Fund is all about," said Doug Alexander, chair of the Access Communications Children's Fund.

"We are excited to support such a great local initiative in the Battlefords."

The Access Communications Children's Fund is a registered charity that contributes funds and support to youth based, not for profit organizations and charities in many communities served by Access Communications Co-operative. In 2012, over $180,000 was provided to more than 30 communities and non-profit organizations throughout the province.
