December was a busy month at Battlefords District Care Centre. Schools performed, carollers came to sing, Christmas light tours took place and the annual Christmas parties brought families and fun.

The theme this year for the parties was "Christmas Around the World" and the entertainment and food were from different cultures.

One group enjoyed was Eagles Wing from the Fiji Islands, who perform all around the world. They tour the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Pacific Islands and they just got back from Vanuatu around the middle of December. They will be performing in the Battlefords within the next few months. so be sure to take that in.

Two Indian girls from the Battlefords, Bismi Paul and Sangeetha Louis, performed a Fusion Dance, local residentDr. Andre van der Merwe sang Â鶹´«Ã½AV African and German songs and local resident Leo Brennan entertained with traditional music.

The parties were wonderful and everyone had a great time. The recreation staff would like to thank the families, the entertainment, the residents and the staff for making our Christmas parties a total success.
