The March-April birthday potluck noon luncheon was held April 17 with Joan Smith, Dorothy Kissick and Judith Holmberg seated at the birthday table. Missing were Rose Danychuk, Ray Hartman, Mabel Stewart, Thelma Lundell, Debbie Sterling and Marie Reid. A delicious lunch was enjoyed by the 12 people who faced a stormy day to attend.

Following the luncheon was the monthly meeting. Margaret MacEachern, president, brought the meeting to order. Doug and Judith Holmberg offered to see that the new gargage bin is put out and taken in when necessary.

The new sound system installed by Vince Gerlinsky is a big improvement for those who are hard of hearing, especially at bingo. He also installed more up-to-date exit lights. More adequate fire extinguishes have been purchased for the size of the building.

The town is having a town-wide garage sale May 24. The next monthly meeting will be May 2.

The annual meeting followed the regular meeting. Executives remain the same: president - Margaret MacEachern; vice-president Shannon Smith; secretary - Jean Hartman; treasurer and co-treasurer - Denise Newton and Vera Hintz.

New memberships are available from Vera at $20 a year.

From April 2013 to March 2014, attendance at the centre was 4,657 who signed the register.

We would like to remember members who passed away in 2013. They are: Birdy Harris - January; Peter Taylor - February; Mervin Burgess and George Danychuk - March; Ina Corker and Margaret Newstead - April; Dorothy Stakiw - August; Bernice Hope - September. They are all missed.

The president thanked all members who keep this seniors' organization up and running. Following adjournment, lunch was provided by Lil McMillan.

Cards were played April 21 with high score going to Dorothy Schwartz and low to Jean Stewart. Lunch was provided by Jean Hartman.
