Maidstone Gully 4-H Club kicked off its 54th year of learning to do by doing Oct. 3.

The club has 14 members in five projects: Beef, Light Horse, Exploring 4-H, Clovebuds and Outdoorsman.

General leader is Mary Ann Carson and assistant general leader is Leanne Doud.

The club president is Kassidy Doepker and junior president is Megan Danychuk. New members are still welcome.

This year the club is focusing on community and giving back. The first event is to work on the park in Maidstone.

The club is collecting used batteries as a fundraiser. Contact Mary Ann Carson or Bobbie Doepker if you have batteries you would like members to pick up.

Thanks for all the support given to the club from the community. Members are hoping for a wonderful year again.
