HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt and District Food Bank received a $33,750 boost from Olymel.
Casey Smit, an Olymel vice-president, presented the cheque, the result of its Giving Back Together campaign, to the food bank on Oct. 30. The campaign, in its fourth year, has raised more than $100,000 since its inception.
“This was raised through various fundraising efforts over the past several months, including 15 farmer meal deliveries during harvest, a 50/50 draw, a raffle, various lunches and food purchases, a silent auction, and a bingo,” said a message from the company.
Olymel acknowledged the support of local businesses in making the fundraising campaign for the food bank successful.
