TISDALE — The Tisdale Wildlife Federation presented 23 awards to local hunters and fishers for their achievements at their annual awards night.
Justin Greif, president of the federation, said the March 25 event had an amazing turnout and were grateful for all the donations from all the businesses.
Greif also wanted to acknowledge the volunteers for doing an outstanding job on organizing the evening.
The Tisdale Wildlife Federation board consists of Justin Grief, Bill Carbno, Bruce Wallington, Ron Heisler, Alfred Zielke, Derek Stanley, Gene Enderson, Ron Pratt, Chera Lee McCarthy and Jenifer Hidlebaugh.
The Tisdale Wildlife Federation was established in 1945 and their aim is to educate people about the animals and habitat’s in the Tisdale area. Grief said they look after hundreds of acres of Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation Habitat Trust Land, Jones Wildlife Sanctuary, and two trout ponds. They also offer Hunter Education and Canadian Firearms Safety Training Courses.
