Nipawin Reconciliation hosting art and culture night

The event will include Terrance Littletent, an accomplished hoop dancer

NIPAWIN – The Nipawin Reconciliation committee be hosting an art and culture night on Sept. 28 in Nipawin. 

Denise Blomquist, Nipawin Reconciliation committee member said, “We want to highlight indigenous performers and artists.” 

The event will include Terrance Littletent, an accomplished hoop dancer, Serena’s Secret, a singer/musician and a residential school survivor and Digging Bear, a drum group from James Smith Cree Nation.  

The public is encouraged to attend. The event will take place a Central Park School gymnasium with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m.  

There will be an art exhibit by Marcy Friesen with other vendors selling and showcasing Métis and Indigenous art with paintings and beading.
