HUMBOLDT — A new Lions club will be chartered in Humboldt
Approximately 45 men and women will celebrate the charter night of the Humboldt Lions Club at St. Augustine Parish Hall at 6 pm on Saturday, Nov. 4.
During the ceremonies, Past International Director Marvin Chambers will present the members of the new club with their official charter. Members of the Lake Lenore Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Humboldt Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate members of the new club.
“I am proud to welcome these men and women into Lions. Humboldt will be proud to have such a fine group serving their community,” said Beryl Bauer, Immediate Past District Governor for District 5SKN and member of the Lake Lenore Lions Club.
The Humboldt Lions Club plans to become involved with fundraising and service projects that benefit the Humboldt region and align with the mission of Lions Clubs International. The Humboldt Lions Club will meet regularly on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 pm at the Community Gathering Place on 701 Sixth Ave.
