The APSS received a complaint from one of their law enforcement partners about animals possibly being in distress

ARCHERWILL – On July 30, officers from the Animal Protection Services (APSS) re-attended a property in Archerwill under the authority of an Animal Protection Act.

Animal protection officers removed an additional three cats from the residence as the distress as defined in the Act had not been relieved by the owner or person in charge of care.

Charges have not been laid at this time. APSS has been in contact with the local fire service and public health to address conditions related to human safety inside the residence.

Officers from the APSS removed several other cats earlier on June 26. Click here to read the original article
