HUMBOLDT — A professional wrestler is putting his championship title on the line in his hometown.
Davey Dysaster, known by some as David Kinar, will be part of the line up at Best Entertainment Wrestling show in Humboldt on July 15.
“Wrestling has always been a huge part of my life. I've been obsessed with it since I was a young boy. I've been professionally wrestling, mainly in Alberta, for almost three years, before that I was doing it a little bit in Saskatchewan for about two years. “
Dysaster moved to Calgary from Saskatoon three years ago.
Last September, at the Victoria Pavilion in Calgary, Dysaster won his first championship, the Wild Rose Sports Association cruiserweight title.
“I still have it and will be putting it on the line in the main event July 15.”
Dysaster said he didn't wrestle in school and he played baseball mostly and in high school was an avid football player for the Humboldt Collegiate Institute Mohawks.
Claude Cusson, owner/promoter for Best Entertainment Wrestling, is out of Saskatoon and also runs shows in Quebec.
“The level of excitement I have for coming back to Saskatchewan and perform is very high. Davey Dysaster is planning on coming back through bigger, faster, stronger and with a championship title on his shoulder,” Dysaster said. “I can guarantee my opponent will not even know what hit him because I am coming back to redeem myself. July 15 in front of family, friends and the entire province of Saskatchewan, I will give them all a show that nobody will ever forget.”
On July 15, door open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. There will be 6 matches. There will be three title matchs, a tag team match and a full concession on site at the Humboldt Uniplex in Jubilee Hall A
Cusson said other shows coming up are Aug. 14 in North Battleford, Aug. 4 in Warman and Aug. 5 in Christopher Lake. A bigger main event, “Septomania,” will air on Max TV on demand on Sept. 23 from Warman.
