Nipawin - A woman has been charged after more than 260 grams of cocaine were seized in Nipawin.
On Dec. 20 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Nipawin RCMP received a report of a vehicle that was stuck in the ditch near Weirdale.
Smeaton RCMP located the vehicle. Investigation determined the adult female driver left the scene on foot. Officers determined the woman was wanted on a warrant for driving while disqualified from Saskatoon Police Service and was subject to court-ordered curfew conditions.
Police soon after located her sitting in a vehicle in Nipawin. She was arrested. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located and seized 262 grams of cocaine, a sum of currency and various pre-packaged drugs.
As a result of investigation, a 43-year-old woman, from White Fox, is charged with: fail to comply with undertaking condition; possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose; possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000; utter threats; possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; and; possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl.
She is scheduled to appear in court in Melfort on Dec. 30.
