Rose Anne Schwindt:

December 31, 1917 - March 31, 2013

The death of Mrs. Rose Anne (nee Weisgerber) Schwindt of Quill Plains Centennial Lodge, Watson, SK, (and formerly of LeRoy), occurred at her residence on Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was 95 years of age. Rose was born on December 31, 1917, to Frank and Margaret (nee Zentner) Weisgerber at home on their farm in Govenlock district. The family eventually moved to the Sinnett district, where Rose grew up and attended school. On November 5, 1940, she married William Schwindt. Three sons were born to them. Rose and William farmed until 1995, when they moved to LeRoy. One of Rose's ultimate passions was music; she loved singing and playing the accordion. She also enjoyed cooking and growing flowers. Her greatest source of pride and joy were her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Three years ago, Rose became a resident of Quill Plains Centennial Lodge, her home until the present. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her family: Norman (Lorrie) Schwindt of Saskatoon and their family, Todd (Kim) Schwindt and children Holden and Gracie of Sylvan Lake, AB, and Jody Schwindt of Kelowna, BC; daughter-in-law, Carol Schwindt of Watson and her family, Craig Schwindt of Englefeld, Colin Schwindt (friend Jimena) of Saskatoon, Kenda (Brian) Thimm of Humboldt, and Jason (Crystal) Schwindt and children Sierra and William of Warman; and Gerald Schwindt (Anne Betak) of Malaga, Spain, and Anne's daughters, Cebena Betak and Cecilia Betak; and by one sister, Mary MacDonald of Port Coquitlam, BC. She was predeceased by her husband, William Schwindt (April 1, 2005); one son, Ron Schwindt (1992); parents, Frank and Margaret (nee Zentner) Weisgerber; and by four brothers and three sisters. The Prayer Service for Rose was held at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Englefeld, on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., led by Patsy Knafelc and Marie ven der Buhs. Scripture readers were Jason Schwindt and Todd Schwindt, and the eulogy was delivered by Carol Schwindt. The Funeral Mass was offered at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Darryl Millette. Others taking part were: Norman Schwindt, urnbearer; Kenda Thimm and Jody Schwindt, scripture readers and giftbearers; Mary and Tony Morhart, memorial table attendants; Crystal Schwindt, intentions. An honor guard was formed by members of the C.W.L. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Todd, Jody, Craig, Colin and Jason Schwindt, and Kenda and Brian Thimm. Interment followed at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Cemetery Fund. Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
