ROBERT (Bob) NEVEN MARSHALL, June 22, 1923 - April 23, 2011 it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father. Bob passed away in Lloydminster Hospital, Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the age of 87. Bob will be sadly missed by his children: Kristine (Alfred) Niekamp and their children Aimee (Brad) their two children Breanna and Colton, Yorkton, SK, Amanda (Jack) their two children Kira and Kelsie, Yorkton, SK, Robert R. Marshall, Lloydminster/Koh Lipe, Thailand, Susan Marshall, Kelowna, BC, and Ross Marshall, Saskatoon, SK. Sister Gloria Taylor, Saskatoon, SK and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was born and raised in Fairlight, Saskatchewan and was the eldest of seven children. Bob was in the Royal Canadian Air Force for three years. He taught school for two years prior to going back to University where he completed his degree in Pharmacy. Bob married the love of his life, Joyce Margaret Reed in August, 1951. He and Joyce moved to Humboldt, SK where they set up their home and business. In 1955, Bob bought a third share of Fletcher's Drugs and in 1959 bought up to a half share. In September 1960, Bob took over the full business, changing the name in 1961 to Marshall Drugs Ltd. He worked on many projects in his community; some of which were the Humboldt Airport, Museum, Legion, Board of Trade and the Lions Club and was an active member of Westminster United Church, where he sang in the choir for 50 years. He moved to Lloydminster in the spring of 2006. The celebration of Bob's life was held on April 30, 2011 at Westminster United Church, Humboldt, SK with Reverend Brenda Curtis officiating. Special music was done beautifully by the Paul and the Westminster United Church Choir. Reverend/Padre Al Hingley read "High Flight" and led the Legion Honour Guard. A moving tribute to Bob was shared by Robert Codling, and the eulogy by Reverend Ross McMurtry, from Weyburn, SK. Bob was laid to rest beside his life long partner and soul mate, Joyce. We, their children know in our hearts and minds that they are together in the arms of God, where they will always remain young and deeply loved. Celebration arrangements were entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home.
