It is with profound sadness that the family of Mrs. Marilyn Anne (nee Szautner) Tebbe of Humboldt, SK, announces her premature death on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Humboldt District Hospital. She was 68 years of age. Marilyn, the only daughter in a family of seven, was born on Thursday, October 2, 1947, to Gesa and Pearl (nee Boehm) Szautner at Humboldt. She grew up on the family farm near Muenster, SK, and attended school in town. Marilyn then started working at Ray's Bakery in Humboldt where she met Raymond Tebbe. They were married on Saturday, May 11, 1968, at St. Peter's Cathedral in Muenster. Following their marriage, Ray and Marilyn moved to British Columbia where they started their family. In 1971, they moved back to the Tebbe family farm, where they added to their family with three more children. They moved into Muenster in 1981 and Marilyn started an in-home daycare which she ran for 13 years. One year she even made moccasins and mukluks for all the children. Marilyn then changed careers and started working at St. Peter's Abbey in the guest wing as a housekeeper, and was employed there for 19 years until retiring in 2013. Ray and Marilyn moved into Humboldt in December 2014. Marilyn used to love spending time outside during the summer with her plants and her garden gnomes. She especially loved visits from her children and grandchildren. Ray and Marilyn enjoyed traveling to see family but did not like flying. Marilyn also enjoyed crocheting and baking and was famous for her cinnamon buns. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 47 years, Raymond Tebbe; three sons and one daughter, 13 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter: RANDY Tebbe (Corrine Cordel) of Sedgwick, AB, and their family Brittney Tebbe, Jade Tebbe, Dawson Bateman and Blade Bateman; DARRELL Tebbe of Sioux Falls, SD, and his children, Michael Tebbe, Jonathan Tebbe, Amber Tebbe, Millie Anne Tebbe and Coyt Ray Tebbe; MAXINE Tebbe of Humboldt, SK, and her daughter Ashlee Tebbe (Keenan Redl) and their daughter Hayley Redl; and WAYNE (Jodie) Tebbe of Stettler, AB and their family, Austin Kopeck, Ivan Tomkow and Ethan Tomkow; five brothers: Ken (Bertha) Szautner, Kevin (Doreen) Szautner, Russell (Patricia) Szautner, Gordon Szautner and Bruce (Gail) Szautner; sisters-and-brothers-in-law: Irene Szautner, Henry Tebbe, Charlene Tebbe, Frances Manderscheid, Loretta Manderscheid, Dorothy Hinz, Louise (William) Butler, Frank (Deanna) Tebbe, and Teckla Angeli; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Gesa and Pearl (nee Boehm) Szautner; brother Harvey Szautner; and by brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Anne Tebbe, Tony Tebbe, Faye Tebbe, Lewellyn Hinz, Andrew Manderscheid, Louis Mandersheid, Joseph Pokolm, Marie Tebbe and Ken Angeli. In honor of Marilyn’s request, a Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
