KONDZIELEWSKI: Marianne
February 12, 1934 – July 15, 2015
Marianne died in peace July 15, 2015 at Bethany Pioneer Village in Middle Lake, SK. Marianne leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband, Zygmont Kondzielewski of Humboldt, and five children and their families, Martin and Marie (Cassandra, Christopher and Peter), Mary Kondzielewski of Regina, Sara and Tohid Ghorbanpour (Suzanne and Alec) of Calgary, AB, Thomas Kondzielewski of Orillia, On, and Lydia and Bob Van Thiel (Ben and Simon) of Fort McMurray, AB. Marianne was predeceased by her parents John and Lydia Mildenberger (nee Karlenzig), and by her brothers John, Tom, and Donald Mildenberger. She is survived by two sisters, Angela Terpening (George) of California, and Cathy Jackman of 鶹ýAV Dakota. True to her German heritage, Marianne valued order, self-control, and music. She became a very capable seamstress and sewed many items, including wedding dresses, German dirndls, suit jackets, winter parkas, and pants that fit. She organized and supervised her children’s musical education as they were growing up—each child learned to play the piano, plus a second instrument of their choice. She was a role model for integrity, common sense, love, and independence; a good mother, grandmother, and life companion. She was the sanest person we have ever had the good fortune to know. It is truly ironic and unexpected that she would develop dementia (Alzheimer’s) in what quickly turned her into her “old age”. Care at the Humboldt Health Facility was professional, competent, prompt, and cheerful. Care at Bethany Pioneer Village in Middle Lake was exemplary end of life care. Workers who can identify the classy lady hiding in the ravaged body of a demented old lady are to be cherished. In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of the many hard-pressed institutions in Saskatchewan would be appreciated. A funeral/memorial service is pending. Arrangements in care of Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
