Linda NienaberJune 23, 1944 - March 11, 2011The death of Mrs. Linda (nee Linder) Nienaber of Annaheim, SK, occurred at Humboldt District Hospital on Friday, March 11, 2011. She was 66 years of age. Her enduring strength and courage, her love of life and people, touched the lives of all who knew her. Linda was born to Alois and Bertha (nee Moormann) Linder on June 23, 1944, in Humboldt. She grew up at St. Gregor and attended school there. Once her education was completed, Linda worked locally in the area. On May 11, 1968, Linda married Benny Nienaber at St. Gregory R.C Church in St. Gregor. The couple moved to Annaheim where they raised their family of two, one daughter and one son. Linda worked at the Post Hotel in Annaheim, Annaheim School, Seven Oaks in Watson and, finally, at Doepker Industries in Annaheim. In 1999, after her first battle with cancer, she decided to retire. In the fall of 2010, she faced cancer again, which she fought courageously. Linda was active in her community. She was very sociable and no matter what, never missed "coffee row" with her friends. Great pride was taken in her yard where she enjoyed her garden and fish. Linda was a great wife and mother whose wonderful personality, laughter and joy of life, will be missed by all that loved and knew her. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, BENNY Nienaber of Annaheim; her daughter, Shannon Nienaber (Jeff Litzenberger) of Humboldt and children Marci and Dorian; her son, Trent Nienaber of Dodsland; one sister, Loraine (Gerry) Nordick of Sherwood Park, AB., and their daughter, Shelley (Tim) Boan and family and their son, Trevor (Stephanie) Nordick and family; mother-in-law, Maria Nienaber of Humboldt; in-laws of the Nienaber family: Joe Nienaber, Agnes (Richard) Muyres, Freda (Leo) Hilgers, Henry (Deanna) Nienaber, Martin (Donna) Nienaber, Raymond (Brenda) Nienaber, Clem (Wendy) Nienaber, Ramona (Frank) Munkler and Judy Nienaber and all of their families. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Alois and Bertha (nee Moormann) Linder; father-in-law, Henry Nienaber; and three brothers-in-law: Conrad Nienaber, John Nienaber and Rudolph Nienaber. The Prayer Service for Linda was held at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Annaheim, on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., presided by Fr. Richard Meidl, OSB. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Annaheim, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., concelebrated by Fr. Richard Meidl, OSB, and Fr. Rudolph Novecosky, OSB. Others taking part were: Jenny Weber, cross bearer; Gerard Muyres and Shelley Boan, scripture readers; Gerard Muyres, intentions; and Benny Nienaber, urn bearer. Music ministry was provided by the St. Ann's R.C. Choir. Honorary pallbearers were "all of Linda's coffee friends". Interment will take place at St. Ann's R.C. Cemetery, Annaheim, at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to either the St. Ann's R.C. Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society. SCHULER-LEFEBVRE, Humboldt, SK.
