Harvey is survived by his five children and nine grandchildren: Curt (Jackie) Engele and children Amy and Carter of Humboldt; Lee Engele and son Daegan of Humboldt; Andrea (Dennis) Mollenbeck and children Dawson, Samantha and Preston of St. Gregor; Kimberly (Nathan) Smith-Neuert and children Odysseus, Emma and Odin of Lake Lenore; Mitchell Engele of Humboldt; Judy Painter of Prince Albert (the mother of Harvey's children); seven siblings: Donald (Dorothy) Engele, Doreen (Kevin) Szautner, David (Jeanette) Engele, Phillip (Marie) Engele, Douglas (Ruth) Engele, Carol (Bill) Danylczuk, and Joyce Mooney (nee Engele); and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one daughter, Mia Engele (in infancy); and by his parents, Albert and Anne (nee Becker) Engele. The Prayer Service for Harvey was held at St. Augustine R.C. Church, Humboldt, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., led by Marlene Van Dresar. Scripture readers were Dennis Mollenbeck and Jeanette Engele; and the eulogy was delivered by Daegan Engele. Music ministry was provided by Marie Aubin. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine R.C. Church on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Fr. Emile April. (306-682-4114)Since you've been taken away,So many things we could have shared,Had you been here to stay.So many times we've criedIf love could have saved youYou never would have died.To hear your voice and see your smileTo sit and talk with you awhile. To be together the same old wayThis is our greatest wish today. His place on earth - no one can fillWe miss you Grandpa and always willA thought, a prayer, a secret tearA silent wish that you were here. The years may wipe out many thingsBut this they'll wipe out neverThe memory of those happy daysWhen we were all together.God called him from among usTo a home of eternal rest.
