Gordon passed away peacefully on July 15, 2014 at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt. He was 71 years of age. Gordon was born on May 26, 1943 to Victor and Ida (nee Moorman) Timmerman in the St. Gregor District and was raised on the family farm. He was the fourth of ten children. Gordon attended Sjolie School and after his schooling, he continued to work on the family farm and for nine years he worked at Good Earth Stock Farms in Annaheim and in 1967, he bought the family homestead. He began farming on his own with grain farming as well as raising pigs. He also worked at Doepker Industries as a welder. In 1976, Gordon married Patricia Wagner and they lived on the family farm until 2007 when they moved to Humboldt. Gordon was very involved in the community and would always volunteer his time to help where it was needed. Spending time with his family was his top priority. He loved the bonfires at the farm and going on camping trips with his family. He had a passion for playing golf and enjoyed his winter home in Texas. Gordon was a very gentle, compassionate man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
