The passing of Mrs. Eileen (nee Lachmuth) Koenders of Annaheim, SK, occurred on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the age of 69 years. Eileen was born on August 4, 1945 to Joe and Ann (nee Grieman) Lachmuth at Humboldt, SK. She grew up and attended school in Annaheim. Following school, she worked at the store in Annaheim. In 1962, she began dating Art Koenders which lead to their marriage on July 4, 1966 at St Anne's Church in Annaheim. They have one daughter, Charlene, who was born in June of 1967. In 1984, Art and Eileen bought the Annaheim store and operated that until 2004 when they both retired. Eileen enjoyed cooking, baking, and feeding family and friends. When she was not cooking and baking, she enjoyed her hobbies: quilting and sewing that occupied many hours. Eileen will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her husband, Art Koenders; her daughter, Charlene (Jim) Moellenbeck and their daughter, Emilie of Annaheim; her sister, Ruth Johnson of Humboldt; nephew, Robert Johnson of Saskatoon;Ìý brother-in-law,Ìý Wes (Brenda) Koenders of Englefeld, and family, Max Koenders (Colleen Walker), Kari (Ray) Holland and son, Reid, Steve (Charla) Koenders and son, Jacob. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Ann (nee Grieman) Lachmuth; brother in-law, Ray Johnson; father and mother in-law, Jacob and May (nee Smith) Koenders; and brothers-in-law, Edward Koenders, Ernest Koenders and Wilfred Koenders. The Funeral Mass for Eileen was offered at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., con-celebrated by Fr. Ephraim Mensah and Fr. Richard Meidl, OSB. Others taking part were Peggy Becker and Doug Chisholm, scripture readers; Doug Chisholm, intentions; St. Augustine Parish Funeral Choir, music ministry; and Dick and Diana Blechinger, memorial table attendants. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Eileen’s life. Active pallbearers were Steven Koenders, Jacob Koenders, Max Koenders, Evan Hustej, Allan Blom and Nathan Blom. Interment followed at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Annaheim. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Anne’s Cemetery Fund or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
