DUNNE:

Dennis Dunne of Redvers, SK, passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, July 30, 2011, just south of Redvers. He was 48 years of age. Dennis was born to William "Bill" and Mary Anne (nee Cyba) Dunne on April 6, 1963, in LeRoy, SK, and was the fourth in their family of seven children. He grew up on the family farm near Sinnett, SK, and attended school in Lanigan, SK. Dennis is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Dunne of LeRoy, SK; daughter, Crystal Amber Lynn Morris of Regina, SK; brother, Brian Dunne of Saskatoon, SK; brother, Harvey (Gail) Dunne of Saskatoon, SK; sister, Shirley (Randy) Hoffman and their daughters, Jessica and Amy Hoffman, all of Humboldt, SK; brother, Matthew (Lyn) Dunne and children, Desiree, William and Brandon of Watson, SK; and sister, Jennifer Dunne of Kamloops, BC. He was predeceased by his father, William Dunne (1929-2003); and by his sister Colleen Dunne (1962 - 1971). Following his education in Lanigan, Dennis joined the workforce and was initially employed at Watrous and Drake before moving south to work at Redvers. Dennis was assistant operations manager at Carnduff Viterra. He was a devoted and ready friend to co-workers and customers alike, and will always be remembered as a man who went the extra mile to make sure farmers received a fair shake. As a young boy he loved to play ball. He would often go down to Sinnett and play there. Dennis also loved the water, and often swam at the creek and went on fishing trips with his family and friends. In more recent years, he enjoyed golfing with friends in the summertime. Dennis was a beloved son, father and brother, and was adored as an uncle. He will be remembered as a wonderful and amazing father to Crystal and her special friend in life, Steven Clow, both of Regina. His unconditional love for Crystal was apparent to anyone who knew them and his support and encouragement for her knew no bounds. He and his daughter enjoyed many late-night coffees, playing with their dogs, movie nights, take-out dinners and home-cooked meals. Dennis dearly loved his many nieces and nephews. He often brought the kids to his favourite fishing hole; teaching them how to bait a line, cast a rod and clean their catch. He also shared his love of animals with them, taking his beloved dogs Casper, Fallon and Panda for long walks sometimes stopping for ice cream on the way home. Dennis will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Nick and Caley (Natalie). He also leaves behind his good friends: Willie Harris; Kelly Fiechter-Vanderwaal; Georgia Britt (Don), mother of Crystal; Georgia`s sisters, Natalie Irene Flaman (Derek) and Rhondalyn Gunarutnum (Ganesh); and many more friends and family members too numerous to mention. The Funeral Service for Dennis was held at St. Mary`s R.C. Church, Lanigan, on Friday, August 5, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Fr. Paul Paproski, OSB.
