Clementine Frances Siba passed away peacefully in the presence of loving family on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon, SK.She was born to Clemens and Laura (nee Ilg) Kirchner on February 29, 1924; second eldest in a family of eight girls and four boys.Her early years were spent on the family farm near Pilger, SK.She attained her education at Lake Ignace School.On July 7, 1948 Clementine married Andrew Siba Jr. of Middle Lake, SK. Andrew and Clementine settled into their farm one half mile east of Middle Lake where they remained until moving into town in 1986.On the farm Clementine had a very busy life raising their family of three girls and two boys while helping out with chores and tending garden.She was active in her community and church; a Catholic Women’s League member for sixty years and a regular in the church choir.She took special pleasure in helping with her grandchildren and cooking for large family gatherings.Bowling became a favorite hobby in her later years.In 2011 Clementine moved to Saskatoon where she resided until present.Clementine’s life is cherished and remembered by her surviving family; three daughters, two sons, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren:Marian Siba, Doreen (Tim) Bevan and family, Christa (Mike) Schaupmeyer and children, Katie and Adam Schaupmeyer, Heather (Jean-Denis) Fournier and children, Marek and Damen Fournier; Arnold (Debbie) Siba and family, Ryan (Karla) Siba and son, Devin Siba, Daryl Siba; Joseph (Genevieve) Siba and family, Shawn (Kristin) Siba and children Kennedy, Jackson and Stephanie Siba, Curtis Siba; Ardel (Greg) Doll and family, Melissa, Andrew and Kristopher Doll; five sisters: Sr. Helen Kirchner, Florence Siba-Leuke, Rose Baker, Doreen Nagy and Marie Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents, Clemens and Laura (nee Ilg) Kirchner; husband, Andrew Siba (1995); four brothers: Ludwig Kirchner (in infancy), Clarence Kirchner, Louis Kirchner and Leonard Kirchner; and two sisters:Catherine Griffin and Hilda Svab.A Prayer Service was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK, on Monday, November 24, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. presided by Nestor Trach.The organist was Kathleen Phillips and the scripture readers were Christa Schaupmeyer and Shawn Siba.A Celebration of her Life was held at Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Middle Lake, SK, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, celebrated by Fr. Gerard Dewan.Others taking part were:Jackson Siba, crossbearer; Diane Jenkins and Katie Schaupmeyer, scripture readers; Joseph Siba, intentions; Marian Siba, Arnold and Debbie Siba, giftbearers; musical selections by Kennedy Siba accompanied by Marilyn Whitehead; and Rhonda Baker and the Parish Choir, music ministry.The eulogy was delivered by Genevieve Siba.Honorary pallbearers were “all those who shared in Clementine’s life”.Active pallbearers were Christa Schaupmeyer, Ryan Siba, Shawn Siba, Daryl Siba, Curtis Siba and Heather Fournier.Interment followed at the Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Cemetery, Middle Lake.Memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund.Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
