The death of Anne (nee Schmidt) Ritz occurred at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon on March 31, 2016. Anne was born in Sant Anna, Romania April 18, 1915. Anne is survived by her daughter Jane and grandson Cole of Saskatoon, brother Joe (Delle) Schmidt of Fort MacLeod and sister Ramona Simpson of Unity. She is predeceased by her husband Harold and son Jack, parents Katherine (nee Bleizeffer) and Michael Schmidt, 2 brothers Frank and Mike, 3 sisters Eleanor (Howard) Shirkey, Viola (Hank) Krieger, Kay (Tony) Holtovgt, and 3 brothers-in-law Wilfred and Al Ritz and Jack Simpson. Anne will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow at St. Augustine Hall. Memorial donations in Anne’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan.
