As of 8:25 a.m. this morning, the City of North Battleford is advising that part of 13th Avenue, westbound to 100th Street, from 101st Street, is closed due to an accident at the intersection of 13th Ave and 100th St.
A two-vehicle accident occurred this morning and emergency services personnel are on scene.
Occupants of the vehicles have been treated for minor injuries. As both vehicles cannot be operated, it will take a bit of time to move them. The Fire Department estimates these road and lane closures will be in place for approximately one-half hour.
Due to the number of accidents over the last 24 hours, the director of protective services again reminds the travelling public that the conditions are unsafe for travelling at increased speeds.
Motorists should allow additional time for braking and should provide a safe distance between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them.
