Motorcyclist injured following collision with semi, east of North Battleford

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.

NORTH BATTLEFORD: A motorcyclist was injured following a collision with a semi trailer, east of North Battleford.

Saskatchewan RCMP confirmed on Aug. 8 at about 11:25 a.m. Battlefords RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 16, about five kilometres east of North Battleford.

After investigating, police determined a motorcycle collided with the back of a semi. 

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.

There were no injuries reported from the occupants of the semi.

The westbound lanes of Highway 16 were temporarily re-routed until the scene was cleared. They have since been re-opened.

Officers from Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
