MEADOW LAKE - Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT) seized illicit drugs following a traffic stop in Meadow Lake.
On Feb. 26 at approximately 10 p.m., RCMP officers with the Meadow Lake CRT initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a business on the 100 block of 9 Street West in Meadow Lake. Officers determined the adult female driver’s licence was suspended. The driver was arrested.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located and seized 27 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine, an imitation firearm, $675 in cash, and unstamped tobacco.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old woman, from Meadow Lake, is charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine;
- one count, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000; and
- one count, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.
