NORTH BATTLEFORD - Downtown revitalization work continues ahead of summer today, May 9, with the start of an anticipated three-week demolition and installation of a new sidewalk, curb, gutters and paving stones on 12th Avenue east of 102nd Street.
The city has closed 12th Avenue from 102nd Street, east to the lane behind Innovation Credit Union and the Kramer Building, though the city noted in a release that the lane behind Innovation Credit Union, and the front door on 102nd Street, will remain open and accessible during construction.
...(we) apologize for any delays that this may cause for pedestrians and drivers." the city said in the release.
The front door of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture building on 12th Avenue will be closed May 9 and May 10 for sidewalk removal and will be closed for another three days for pouring of new sidewalks.
The city anticipates this project will take three weeks to complete and thanks impacted businesses for their cooperation and patience.
