Investigation determined an altercation occurred between a man and a woman at the residence.
BIG ISLAND LAKE CREE TERRITORY - A man was arrested following a serious assault on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
On Nov. 2 at approximately 3 p.m., Pierceland RCMP received a report of a serious assault that occurred at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
Officers responded and located an injured woman at the home. She was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Investigation determined an altercation occurred between a man and a woman at the residence. As a result of the altercation, a woman was seriously assaulted.
As a result of continued investigation, on Nov. 3, RCMP officers located and arrested a man at a home on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
The 26-year-old suspect, from Big Island Lake Cree Territory, is charged with aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in court in Pierceland on Nov. 6.
