A slow weekend hockey-wise saw the Yorkton Xerox Terriers play just one game, as the Prince Albert Venice House Raiders visited the Farrell Agencies Arena this past Sunday to see if they could knock off the top team in the SBAAHL 麻豆传媒AV Division.

A sluggish start on Yorkton鈥檚 behalf saw Prince Albert carry the brunt of the play throughout the first 20 minutes, however that didn鈥檛 stop the Xerox Terriers from opening the scoring late as Yorkton captain Aiden Bulych snapped a shot low blocker side past Grant Alexander for a 1-0 Yorkton lead with just 39 seconds left in the period.

The second period saw the visitors even the score at one less than three minutes into the frame as Kevin Ledoux put the puck past Nolan Maier, however that was as close as Prince Albert would get to taking the lead as three more Bulych markers made it 4-1. 鈥淗e鈥檚 gone through some stints here where he鈥檚 had some chances but couldn鈥檛 capitalize and today was one of those days where they just went in,鈥 said Xerox Terrier head coach Dan Cross on the four goal performance by his captain. 鈥淗e鈥檚 been working on it and working with his shot and trying to keep it low and I think all of them went in low on the blocker side and good for him because they鈥檙e well-deserved.鈥

Evan Matatall鈥檚 first goal of the season made it 5-1 with 22 seconds left in the second period, while Kishaun Gervais and Ryder Korczak scored in the third period for Yorkton to make it 7-1.

Ledoux鈥檚 second goal of the game rounded out the scoring in a 7-2 Yorkton win.

Alexander shouldered the loss for the visitors stopping 33-of-40 Yorkton shots while Maier picked up his 11th win of the season turning aside 18 shots. 鈥淲e鈥檙e really fortunate to have good goaltending and he鈥檚 done a great job for us all year long and maybe we sometimes count on him a little too much at times,鈥 mentioned Cross on his goalie. 鈥淚 thought he kept us in there for the first half of the game before we got our game going.鈥
