The Yorkton Terriers picked up a pair of wins away from the Farrell Agencies Arena in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action.

The wins raised the Terrier record to 7-11-0-1 for 15 points, third best in the Viterra Division, 15 back of first place Weyburn, and six behind Estevan.

Melville sits in the Viterra basement with 13-points.

The Terriers’ first win came as the offence was rolling again Friday, putting up their second straight six-pack night.

This time Yorkton was in Estevan to face the Bruins where they actually trailed 2-1 after 20-minutes.

Keegan Allison put the home team on the board at 4:25, with Lynden Pastachak making it 2-0 at 8:04, before Jordan Evans put the Terriers on the board at the nine-minute mark.

The second was the Terriers’ period as they outscored the Bruins 3-0. Regan Seiferling, McKenzie Welke and Evans with his second of the night, a short-handed effort had the Yorkton markers.

Reid Anderson made it 5-2 with a Terrier powerplay goal 5:26 into the third.

Allison scored his second of the night for the Bruins at 13:01, with Braden Oleksyn giving the home crowd hope with a goal at 19:11 to make it 5-4.

But Adam Santoro salted away the Terrier win with an empty net effort at 19:41 for a 6-4 win.

Jakob Severson had the Terrier win in goal facing 37-shots, while Tyler Fuhr took the loss for Estevan facing 28.

Saturday the teams hooked up again, this time a home game for the Terriers played on neutral ice in Moosomin.

Oleksyn scored at 11:43 of the first to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead, but that would be the only Estevan shot to elude Terrier net minder Matt Kustra who stopped 38-of-39 on the night.

Meanwhile Cole Keenleyside would knot the score with a powerplay goal at 13:56 of the first.

In the second Carson Welke would score the eventual game-winner with the man advantage 33-seconds into the second.

In the third Keenleyside scored at 4:14 of the third to complete a 3-1 Terrier victory.

Fuhr took the loss in the Bruins net facing 38-shots.
