SASKATCHEWAN — The Western Development Museum (WDM) has announced Community Membership, a category exclusively for non-profit entities. This initiative strengthens ties between the WDM and Saskatchewan’s non-profit sector.
The Community Membership aims to alleviate financial barriers for group homes and other non-profit organizations and increase accessibility to the museum’s exhibits, according to a WDM press release.
In creating the Community Membership, the WDM acknowledges the vital role non-profit organizations play in building a resilient and inclusive community, the release states. This membership category serves as a bridge for shared learning experiences among community entities, the museum, and the wider public.
By becoming Community Members, non-profit organizations can support their residents and contribute to the enriched narrative of our collective heritage, the organization states.

“Creating a Community Membership category is a way for the WDM to better support members of our communities served by non-profit organizations,” says WEDM CEO Joan Kanigan.
