LANGHAM –At the largest outdoor farm show on the Prairies, farmers can experience a remarkable display of state-of-the-art agriculture equipment and technology working live from the field at Ag in Motion from July 18-20.

“This is the show where innovation takes center stage,” says Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “The three-day farm show creates an atmosphere of excitement with products new to market, prototypes and first-ever concepts on display, plus a chance to talk with the creators, companies and technical staff that bring that novel thinking to our industry.”

O’Connor says it’s hard to get this experience anywhere else. Ag in Motion transforms the Discovery Farm Langham site, with more than 550 companies set up on 100+ acres of outdoor show and demonstration space. Last year, close to 30,000 people visited the outdoor show.

The large area of the outdoor show allows companies to bring in full-sized equipment with all the attachments, run the machines in the field and even fly drones. Visitors get a unique chance to explore, drive and test out equipment with the latest advancements in farming equipment.

O’Connor emphasizes the importance of farmers having hands-on experience with the equipment. “Farmers want to see the equipment up close, feel how it handles and see it in action,” explains O’Connor. “The large outdoor environment at Ag in Motion is ideal for this and lets farmers compare different features and ask any question they have.”

O’Connor notes that in-field equipment demonstrations and Ride & Drives are a big draw to the show. This year, Ag in Motion features new equipment such as high-speed tillage and air seeder equipment, feed mixers, drones and autonomous agriculture solutions. Ride & Drives feature sprayers and skid steers.

Here are a few 2023 highlights:

The all-new Guardian™ Self-Propelled Front Boom Sprayers from New Holland feature precision technology. The ground-breaking front boom design allows greater visibility and farmers can run the boom closer to the ground to reduce drift.

For innovative application technology, the new John Deere 612R sprayer comes equipped with See & Spray Select using advanced camera and nozzle-control technology to spray only emerged weeds.

A 650-cubic-foot HD feed mixer from Trioliet comes with the bonus of a straw blower for bedding corrals so producers can stay on the feed alley while blowing bedding up to 80 feet.

Visitors will have 1,500 feet to accelerate and test the handling capabilities of sprayers from Apache, Case IH, John Deere Canada, HORSCH Canada, New Holland and Reesink Canada Wholesale. For Skid Steer Ride & Drives, visitors can test out New Holland skid steers in an environment that lets them simulate activities typically taking place on a farm work site.

Ag in Motion takes place at Discovery Farm Langham from July 18-20, 2023, just northwest of Saskatoon, Sask. For tickets to the show and a detailed overview of the lineup at Ag in Motion 2023, visit aginmotion.ca.
