Udder chaos: reports of cattle on railroads near Cut Knife

CN Police called in two reports of cattle on railway tracks in the Cut Knife area.

Cut Knife RCMP detachment provides their weekly policing report for the period Oct. 7-13 and Oct. 14-20.

RCMP Report – Oct. 7 - 13

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen from Landis. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

CN Police reported cows on the railway tracks. Members were unable to locate the owner, but the animals were gone on arrival.

Police received a report of missing dogs. Members attempted the contact the complainant but there was no answer upon callback.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members attended. Emergency Medical Services transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

Members are investigating a complaint of sexual interference.

Police received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a neighbour dispute.

RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated individual at a residence. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival. The complainant declined to proceed.

Members are investigating a complaint of assault.

Police received a complaint of a dog running loose at Cut Knife. Members patrolled but could not locate the animal.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received a request to keep the peace while a legal notice was served to an individual.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual banging on a residence door. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Members are investigating a complaint of assault.

Police received a complaint of a suspicious individual near a business. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Members received a request from Saskatoon Police Service to assist in locating an individual.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual not complying with a release order condition, but it was unfounded.

Police received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a complaint of a stolen truck and dog, but it was unfounded.

A 43-year-old female from Little Pine First Nation was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and obstruct peace officer during a traffic stop.

RCMP received a complaint of breach of peace. Members spoke to the complainant.

Members received a complaint of theft, but it was unfounded.

Police received a complaint of drug trafficking. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a call regarding an individual throwing a rock through a window. The complainant declined to proceed.

Members received a complaint regarding a suspicious person after finding a footprint on his front step. The complainant requested members increase patrols in the area.

Police received call for an intoxicated male causing disturbance at a store. The subject of complaint was transported to cells to remain until sober.

While patrolling members came across an intoxicated individual in public. The subject of complaint was transported to cells and released when sober.

Members attended a complaint regarding an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members spoke to the registered owner who agree to move the vehicle.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle on private property. The vehicle was towed.

Police acted as mediators in a civil dispute.

Members received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of breach of peace. Members spoke to the complainant and the subject of complaint.

Police received a complaint of an individual hearing a gun shot. Members patrolled the area but could not locate the origin of the sound.

RCMP received a report of an individual breaking a residence window. Members attended but the subject of complaint was sleeping, and the complainant declined to proceed.

Members received a report of a damaged vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

An individual report a lost wallet. The wallet has not been located.

Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

There were also two false 911 calls, one traffic complaint, and one false alarm.

Twenty-nine tickets and /or warnings were issued.
