MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM — The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested two men connected to a home invasion that left its occupant hospitalized.
Joshua Bradley Adams, 28, was first taken into and his accomplice, Gill Ryan Perreault, 29, was arrested later. Police have charged Adams with one count of breaking and entering, one count of attempted murder, one count of possessing a firearm while prohibited, and one count of possessing a firearm without a valid license or registration. Perreault is facing one count of breaking and entering and one count of attempted murder.
Officers responded to a call around 8 p.m. about a suspicious occurrence at a residence on the 1200 block of Irving Avenue on Â鶹´«Ã½AV Hill. On scene, members found an injured 28-year-old male in the residence.
Following a further investigation, officers learned that Adams and Perreault broke into the victim’s residence armed with a shotgun and knife. The victim then suffered a serious, non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head and was stabbed multiple times. EMS transported him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time of this offence, Adams was on a lifetime order of prohibition not to possess firearms.
Both Adams and Perreault fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. However, police later arrested Adams without incident and remanded him into custody while they issued an arrest warrant for Perreault, who was later located.
While investigating the residence, officers also discovered and seized one kilogram of fentanyl with a street value of roughly $400,000, along with $6,700 in Canadian currency.
