SASKATOON — A 48-year-old Saskatoon man has been arrested following a report of a suspicious person armed with a knife.
At approximately 6 p.m. on July 26, police were called to the 100 block of Avenue C North for a report of a suspicious person armed with a knife. Upon arrival, say police, officers located a man on the sidewalk believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant waving a knife around. He did not comply with the commands of an officer and instead threw the knife with force onto the pavement.
Following a brief struggle, he was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and resisting arrest.
