SASKATOON — Motorists in downtown Saskatoon will encounter detours, lane restrictions, and no parking signs due to the Saskatoon Pride Festival and Pride Parade.

The Saskatoon Pride Festival events will impose road restrictions starting from Friday, June 16, at 2 p.m. until Sunday, June 18, at 3 p.m. Notably, the Traffic Bridge will be closed between 11th and 19th Streets, and Spadina Crescent will be closed between 2nd Avenue and 20th Street.

The Pride Parade route will commence from Kiwanis Park, resulting in closures from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. The following road closures will be in effect:

• Spadina Crescent closed between 24th and 25th Streets under the University Bridge.

• 24th Street is closed between Spadina Crescent and 4th Avenue.

• 4th Avenue closed between 22nd and 24th streets.

• 22nd Street closed between 1st and 4th avenues.

• 1st Avenue closed between 20th and 22nd streets.

• 20th Street closed from 1st and 4th avenues.

• 3rd Avenue closed between 19th and 20th streets.

• Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge off-ramp to 1st Avenue closed.

To accommodate the Pride Parade, Saskatoon Transit will make minor route adjustments and establish temporary bus stops from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Downtown Terminal bus stops will operate as usual, except for Route 6, 60, 62, 63, and 65. These routes will have temporary bus stops on 3rd Avenue, just south of 23rd Street East.

Route 6 Broadway/City Centre and Route 1 Exhibition/City Centre will serve downtown via the University Bridge. Please note that Route 5 City Centre cannot access the residences on 24th or 23rd Streets.

For detailed information on bus stop closures, transit service alerts, and real-time bus updates, commuters can refer to third-party apps such as Transit and Google Maps Transit on their desktops.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and be mindful of pedestrians. The city extends its gratitude for everyone's patience and cooperation.
