RCMP looking for info on Ponteix break-in

Ponteix RCMP are asking the community for any information they have regarding a break-and-enter at a residence.

RCMP say that Saturday morning at approximately 3 a.m., the Ponteix detachment received a report of a break and enter at a residence.

The suspect was described as being a male believed to be in his fifties, between five foot five and five foot eight, with a medium build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket and coveralls. His face was partially covered with a mask, and he had a short pepper-coloured beard.

Ponteix RCMP responded and requested additional resources including Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services and Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services to assist with examining the scene and gathering evidence.

Police have conducted proactive patrols, neighbourhood inquiries and interviews.

Ponteix RCMP are looking to residents in the community to provide any information or video surveillance that may assist with identifying the male suspect.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the Ponteix RCMP detachment at 306-625-6400. Information can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).
